I think he means the gov’t vampire won’t completely kill its victim because then they will be out of blood. The OP assumes the gov’t knows how much it can suck before they kill us.

If that were true it would be a symbiote, not a parasite.
A government analogy would be that if the government did anything positive, it would offer its services competitvely not monopolistically. IE the government would come to your door and ask you what you thought of various methods and how much you were willing to pay for them.

I see only one answered the question; and that was through semantics. There are millions of parasites, or symbiots, who use your systems for their survival; it just do happens that they have to clean you out and digest your food to do it. Millions of these parasites are at work in your body everyday. And through your welfare to these parasites (not dying, and eating, etc) they make you a healthier and stronger person.
Parasites ensure your survival. You will either placate them, or die.

Physiologically there is no difference between a symbiote and a parasite; only in functionality. And my argument isnt about government, per se. Its about the people who benefit from government services. People who may then go on to lead a successful life buying products and services from the rich people who gave him welfare, thereby creating a symbiotic relationship. Then he gives welfare to people who grow successful and buy his products and services, thereby creating a symbiotic relationship. Then he gives welfare… and on and on.

Dont do that friend, the argument is clear; there is a possiblity that welfare services can and often do (contrary to popular opinion) create a symbiotic relationship between rich and poor of “you pay me and Ill pay you.”
And dont try to use the argument that our system wouldnt be broke if that were the case; the bankruptcy of our government is due to our imperialism. PUBLIC WORKS FTW!

For this analogy yes. If my argument was that people being forced to feed a tapeworm can have beneficial effects then the government would be the parasite. (But thats not my argument, so lets not change the topic)
