Hi everybody, I wanted to ask a few elementary questions.
Suppose a few areas of the world secede from their states into a form of anarchy. Could we expect the formation of PDAs, and a kind of ordered contractual society amidst the chaos, or is this a necessary yet not sufficient condition?
Just as state obedience relies on acceptance of propaganda and ideology, is it also therefore reasonable to expect the masses in these areas to respond and form such a society without being educated in anarcho-capitalist principles? This would allow them to see their gain from peaceful contractual relations to the provision of defense via mutual gain as opposed to coercion.
Also, what safeguards would discourage large PDAs from becoming coercive and forming states?
Also if these areas did secede, would they be able to surivive outside state interference and prevent themselves from being crushed? Or do we require a critical mass, to overcome state oppression?
Look forward to your answers, I do need to further my reading in this area.
