Donated to what?
At least they included Ron Paul in this poll, but I am guessing it is because he lost the poll; however, this is actually a poll a candidate would want to loose because it would show that the given candidate is not supported by the “1%”.

Oh man, this is great Occupy conversion material! Insta-libertarian! I do love effective propoganda so very much…
It’s always nice to have some demonstrated preference on your side. I love that self-styled “fact-based” progressives can go on and on about what people really want, and then ignore, rationalize away or disparage instances of demonstrated preference.
Not that the above is a slam-dunk or anything, but it’s definitely an interesting piece of evidence. If libertarianism is a vulgar ideology designed to benefit the rich, then current billionaires seem to be out of the loop.
Then of course the standard counter is “well, he’s just not electable,” which we know is BS.
I completely agree with Paul when he says that he is in fact quite moderate. Respect the Constitution? Not fight in tons of wars? Not add trillions to the debt? Wow, when did that become extreme? It’s brainwashing to the max.
@Wheylous: Yes, billionaires are smart enough to figure out Ron Paul is not electable but not smart enough to figure out that Herman Cain and Rick Santorum also are not electable… ![]()

Why does Romney have more donations than Perry? Leaving aside the issue of viability, Romney has 235,000,000 to boot around, while Perry has little over a couple of million.
Perry is less of a sure thing. He is a “cowboy.”
“post-traumatic bush syndrome” if you prefer. Romney is a good establishment boy. He doesnt get drunk and give speeches about secession and gold and “them boys in washington, HOOOOOEEEEEEEE they a bunch a crooks, aint they?”
