The language is obviously informal but can anyone think of a property conflict that doesn’t involve both a spatial and temporal element? Can we agree that in order to have a conflict then two or more individuals must claim ownership of both the same position at the same time?
If there’s a claim for a piece of property from do different people but during a mutually exclusive time period then at a single point in time there is only one claim and thus no conflict. If it is a cliam to a different period of property then there can clearly be no conflict. Thus conflicts can take place if and only if there is at least two claims on a particular piece of property which covers, at least in part, one time period.
