So, a new bill will be introduced to protect private property? I thought private property was already protected? Why create another bill (that no congressman will read)?
The Westboro nutjobs usually protest on state roads(if they didn’t keep to the letter of the law, they’d all be in jail by now), so this is actually necessary to shut them up.
Yeah, they use public streets. Stopping it certainly doesn’t require a law. All it takes is enough people with the balls to clog the streets around the place. Other localities have done so. Not to mention that if people gave a shit enough to handle the problem instead of begging uncle sam to do the job for them. An agreement not to sell gas to them among retailers sovles the problem. But then that would take minimal research and the willingness to act on one’s convictions.
They actually did something like that at Matthew Shepard’s funeral. They dressed up as angels to surround and block out the church. I personally hope someone does a drive-by with machine guns on the protestors, but that’s my just opinion.
That is probably the same incident I had read about where they just blocked them off. Shit like this is the supreme test of my commitment to non-aggression. It’s hard not to advocate beating these douchebags to death with a sack full of nickles.
