These kids are the perfect stereotype of leftist college hipsters who simply love the sound of their own voice, and never stop to think:

I find this all very funny, and sort of disturbing. Anyone else have any videos like this? If anyone watches Penn and Teller’s Bullshit, they did an episode on College which pointed this out:

Lol. Looks like the cameraman learned some big words in school and was trigger happy in using them.

“But their No. 1 demand was this: “Full legal and disciplinary amnesty for all parties involved in the occupation.” You can’t say these kids are too dumb to look out for their own interests.”

Aw, bless.

Also, just FYI, the date on the article is February 20, 2009. I got suspicious when the reporter wrote that it was cold in NYC :stuck_out_tongue:

Here is the remix of that protest video. It’s hilarious and shows the contradictions in their philosophy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6o20TXzotVw

Rest assured that this was a joke around NYU as well. The general opinion was that the calls for greater fiscal transparency were legitimate, but free tuition for a handful of Palestinian students? Staging your protest in such a ridiculous way? They were a laughing stock as far as I could tell; then again, I was not in the liberal arts school.

Propaganda munchies, these kids have had too many.

“They probably drink corporate water.”

Yes, and let’s ignore that the protesters use corporate laptops. Or does Apple not qualify as corporate since they are not Microsoft? Lol

No, corporate means combines of people that don’t submit to our ever-confused, ever-changing ideologies.

Congratulations. Our next generation of frivolous medical malpractice lawyers. Saving the world from capitalism one spoiled and whiny protest at a time.

That was dreadful to watch.

“THIS IS ON CAMERA!”

“We need to collectively decide how to proceed.”

“We would like to democratically decide in a consensus area.”

As a scholar of leftology, I diagnose too much Chomsky and a slight overdose of Nader.

Honestly, I was waiting for the leader to turn to the university guy and say, “Can we talk later because my mom called. She’s done with my laundry and I need to go pick it up.”

The new “don’t tase me, bro” is

“Excuse me, brutality here.”

I feel for the Palestinians, and high college tuition sucks, but there way of going about it is so perverse and retarded. I mean, having a protest on the streets makes more sense then what, locking yourself in your college’s cafeteria? How the hell is that going to do anything? That’s like being dehydrated and needing water, and instead you decide to stab yourself in the leg.
