Rest assured that this was a joke around NYU as well. The general opinion was that the calls for greater fiscal transparency were legitimate, but free tuition for a handful of Palestinian students? Staging your protest in such a ridiculous way? They were a laughing stock as far as I could tell; then again, I was not in the liberal arts school.

I feel for the Palestinians, and high college tuition sucks, but there way of going about it is so perverse and retarded. I mean, having a protest on the streets makes more sense then what, locking yourself in your college’s cafeteria? How the hell is that going to do anything?
