Request; Litterature about the american government.

Hello!

I am a swedish guy, who is intrested in knowing how the american government works. Now, when I say that I wonder how the american government works, I don’t want you to give me books that only talks about how all government is force and stuff like that. I want to have a book that explains how the the different parts of the government technicaly works. I didn’t learn this in school, and I find it kind of hard to follow the news when I don’t understand the senate and it’s relation to the congress etc.

So please help me find a good book. It doesn’t need to be a very simple book. I can read english very well.

The entry above mine probably would be the best way to go about learning things, truthfully.

Another good wiki site would be here, which will tell you about the three branches of government. And here will compare the Senate and House for you.

Are you good at listening to the English language or just reading/writing it? If you can listen well, I’ll find some YouTube videos for you, too, if you want.
