Rettoper is not an anarchist. Whatever. We do not want all non-anarchists banned from the forums. In fact, I would probably leave the forums if there were no minarchists. I can’t learn much from agreeing with everyone else. We’re happy to have a debate with them so long as it is educational and intellectual. I cannot format my posts in this ghetto, so i will double post as a way to sep my paras.

Its a spiritual public masturbation for him to revel in the glories of our modern liberal democracies. Its obscene.
So no, we don’t want action taken against Rettoper because he doesn’t think like us. We want it because he’s destructive to these forums and incorrigibly so. It needs to stop. Take action.

The more you post, Herr Lilburne, the more you expose yourself as a sycophant. I like your comics. Some of your articles on history seemed interesting, though I didn’t make time to read them at all. It’s great that you dedicate your time to LvMI and are doing something with the academy. None of this makes you qualified to be a forum admin or moderator and you are continually failing at the task. There is more to it than just stopping insults.

Unfortunately Snowflake I think you have missed an opportunity, perhaps you assumed that you could not elicit a direct response from Rettoper on these claims, but unfortunately you did not test that. You countered these bald assertions with the ‘correlation does not equal causation’ attitude, implicitly agreeing with Rettoper that the list of statements is true. You did not challenge him to cite statistical evidence of any kind…
There is nothing wrong with continuing to harp on a poster with demands for evidence to be produced, in fact one does oneself no favours if one doesn’t demand evidence where evidence would be relevant, and one suspects that it is lacking. You may even feel free to dismiss additional arguments a poster makes in lieu of responding to demands for evidence, this is often a sound tactic. ‘No, I wont talk about your argument X, Y, Z until you go back to argument A and back it up with some evidence or distance yourself from it’
Daniel, rule 2 against knowingly posting false material. He’s had very very ample time during the Hiroshima thread where I and others repeatedly posted counterevidence against his warped worldviews which he carried over to the Pipe Dream thread. He’s also basically in violation of all the forum etiquette guidelines. I understand why it might be useful to mods to have a list of rules he’s violated, since banning him for being really really stupid is essentially thought-policing. My charge still stands though: Rettoper uses false information, always straw mans his opponents, never answers anything core, and repeatedly reasserts the simplistic chants he was touting 5 pages ago. This might not be a violation of any rule, but I think it deserves consideration because it is so damaging to the forums.
Nirgraham, right, the quotation I used was an on-going thread. My response did not address those things, because I knew he wouldn’t answer, which is the whole point. If you think this is speculation, just wait. This has happened in the past and will continue. He’s ignoring everyone who levels an actual response against him, recently addressing us all at once, simply restating his deranged conclusions without any supporting evidence. Rettoper kisses ass when anyone supports him and straw mans or ignores anyone who doesn’t. A debate cannot be carried on with him.

Seriously. Rettoper is in violation of rule 2 of the forums, and also all the etiquette posted there. Moreover, I have not seen challenged that the health of forums would be improved if Rettoper was banned. He is a very extreme case.
Snowflake, it is your reaction that is extreme and drawing ever more attention to that thread. Let it go.
