LOL to both. Amerika, land of the free!
Well, I always figured that the first thing the elites would do before having a global fiat money would be to have a global gold backed notes. That would get there foot in the door. I do not trust anything other than free banking with 100% reserve requirements.
Iran was pushing for gold reserves too some time ago, about three or four months ago. I wonder if they still have that.
Also why this need to do this globally? Well, we know that answer, power, etc… For we already have that provision in our country (gold and sliver coins in Constitution), but D.C. is going to make us look more and more ridiculous on the global scene to make the U.S. look dumb so the other countries will feel the need to save us. But if we go gold and silver coin, then no need for a government or IMF to print money, even gold backed money, so no need for government to be involved in market and no need for IMF to be involved in market. That’s such an old understanding so no need by me to continue along this terribly obvious line of thinking.
As I understand it he only suggested including gold in a basket of currencies which would then become the value standard for a new global reserve currency. A return to the gold standard is not what he was suggesting.
