Here is a thought.

Britain is going to bomb Libya for attacking its own civilians in a countrywide civil war.

Why didn’t its previous members do that back when Abraham Lincoln was killing Americans and send the Royal Navy to bombard New York and outlying regions of District of Colombia?

You know, when he killed 300,000 Americans, blockaded Southern ports, and razed down Atlanta, Georgia, and South Carolina? Much worse than anything that Israel ever did against Gaza or Gadaffi ever did against Libyan rebels.

Wonder what it would have been like if there were an “international community” that was committed to “not standing idly by” back in 1865!
