Now it makes sense, you literally want to go back to the Stone Age. If you want to stay true to your belief in hunting and gathering you cannot do it alone, as stated here,
Nonetheless Neanderthal usage of projectile weapons in hunting occurred very rarely (or perhaps never) and the Neanderthals hunted large game animals mostly by ambushing them and attacking them with mêlée weapons such as thrusting spears rather than attacking them from a distance with projectile weapons.
You won’t be able to do this alone, you will need a collective to successfully ambush large game and then tiringly beat the animal to death with a blunt object or stab it with spears. You cannot have anything more advanced than a pointy stick.
