Show your depression wear.

I started thinking that people could start posting pictures of them in there suites, ties, bow ties, hats and such. What are you doing with your dress, to stay competitive? I will be posting a picture soon. I think this could extend to shoes and such. Might be a good idea to say how much the suit cost you and why you think it is worth the price paid.

Bull!

I reject any such tendency. Snobbish clothing has nothing at all to do with rational economics of the individual. Mixing fashion industry into economic attitude would only be very destructive. And the hat is the ultimate symbol for it.

The mises article you refer to, was only a joke. Now, please, dress as you like!

Gerald Celente of Trends Research Institute has been saying just such a thing: that sharp dressing will be a new trend to stay competitive in the days ahead.

The article may have been a joke, but there is a ring of truth too it. Sure, you can dress the way you want in a free society, but that does not keep others from judging you. It does not mean people have to associate with you, trade with you. Fashion is just a preference like any other, but a free society tends to develop standards in all areas, this includes fashon.

lol, like there is such a thing..

By the way, I love this hat: https://www.thefedorastore.com/PhotoDetails.asp?ShowDESC=N&ProductCode=E1541

I would buy it but alas, I lack the funds. Maybe someday. I know about a local hat designer that I may buy from, they have nice hats for less, but this is still a nice hat. My suites are from Men’s Wearhouse.

The article mentions that you can find suits cheap at thrift stores if you actually know what to look for. Here’s a simple hack, ask a gay guy how you look.

Seriously. I got a suit that looks great on me for $40. On my own I have little fashion sense, so I asked a gay guy and he pointed out to me exactly how a suit is supposed to fit. The one I would have chosen on my own was all wrong in the shoulders and waist.
