I saw a sign that read,
Danger
Police Harassing Citizens Ahead
It was posted near a very unpopular speed trap that the police of one city setup right at the end and begning of another city.
I wonder how long it will stay there and I wonder if this will lead to other signs on the side of the road.
what is that website…its blocked for now…
Here’s an interview with the creator . Should give you enough info.
Impatient? (I am.) It’s a phone application that lets you see potential speed traps and other road disturbances.

My friend has one of those police detectors in his car. I’m not exactly sure how it works, but different letters/numbers will come up depending how far and what kind of vehicle is near.
i like the sign, because, it might start waking people up to how unnecessary these traps are.
Another reason I think the sign is very appropriate, is, when a driver is caught by this speed trap they have the chance at having over $200 stolen from them. That is dangerous…
perhaps there could be legal warning signs to warn drivers of this danger.

Just a quick thing: please refrain from openly talking about “police harassing citizens”, “radar detectors” and the like on the Internet. You never know who is reading. I am not talking about shady intelligence agencies but about policemen themselves and “useful idiots”. Stick to humor and sarcasm, they won’t get that. [;)]

No…I’m sorry, but we all must stand up and call out tyranny when we see it.
I hope we start seeing these signs all over.
The police won’t use any resources to investigate your car broken into or EVEN STOLEN…but you think they’ll use resources to investigate these signs?
Actually, I hope they do…maybe it will drain their resources away from being on the streets…harassing us…

Are you talking about a radar detector? It detects signals from police speed radar and many of them display the band and signal strength.
maybe city councils can start requiring legal street signs put up near speed traps…to warn citizens of the danger.

Radar detectors are only illegal in some states… to my knowledge.

I’ll say yes. I didn’t really ask, right when I saw it, and what it did when a cop was near, it was pretty obvious what it was.
