Zefreak, I’ve got nothing against anarchist. Indeed, I remain open to the desirability of anarchism and I’m already pretty much sold on its feasibility in most instances. I don’t like a priori judgements on whether or not its desirable, I don’t think we can make such judgements. However, I’m not sure that a stateless society will be as prosperous as one with a state for numerous reasons.
If I come across as overly critical its because I think most self described “anarcho capitalists” make poor arguments and go around defending their system in the wrong way. I’m skeptical (and yes, I anticipate Juan’s remark that I’m a great skeptic, only I’m not because I listen to religious dogma etc.) of its desirability in both a narrow “economic” sense (I realise economics is value free, but I think it’s fairly clear what I mean) and a more broad sense. But I remain open to being convinced.
Chin up Comrade, the revolution marches on! But don’t worry about being pessimistic, it’s edgy and cool if you play it right. Otherwise, there’s plenty of good shit out there to help with it.
Seriously thought, forget the “Smoking will kill you signs” they have on cigarettes, what they should really say is “Smoking will get you friends and make you cool”. Buy a packet, start smoking and you’ll be the coolest kid in town in no time. Get a piercing too, somewhere around the face, if anybody comments tell them you wanted it through the jugular, but they wouldn’t let you.

If anybody comments on you being a pessimist, tell them that you’re fairly optimistic than you and your boyz will show up and beat them. Followed by punching your palm and flexing your arms (if you’re lacking in muscle, tell that you would flex your muscle, but you don’t want to rip another shirt).

What I think are attributes defining character are prudence, sincerity and humility. I like people who aren’t afraid to go against the grain, and at the same time, can admit when they don’t know something.
Nothing spoils “the mood” like talk of politics.
