Hi im Hux from Australia.
I have been coming here for about 2 years now just reading many of the posts on this forum, and i would just like to say that i am so happy that there is still somewhere i can go where people actually care about individual liberties. Thanks to all of you.
I have been pondering about the carbon tax being forced upon us Australians and whether the green movement has always been a creation of the socialist movement or at some stage just hijacked by the left.
Now realising that these greenies are taking us towards international socialism, i am always thinking about what i can do to counter this from happening.
So my idea is that perhaps we need to show people what color the greens really are, by creating a new party that tries to encourage conservation voluntarily and show that we are not concerned about things such as giving people ‘free’ education or free medical or whatever other thing socialist offer but only with helping people live in sustainable communities if they choose to.
I think the key point is to appear more green than the current green left movement while having libertarian values of individual liberties.
We would not support nor oppose things such as gay marriages because we don’t believe marriage should even have anything to do with government in the first place.
Anyways all this for the purpose of creating a new green movement that is opposed any form of socialism and creating a wedge between the green and the left.
What do you guys and gals think???
P.S I used to be a green socialist until around 3 years ago. Ron Paul and Human Action saved my life =D. I also used to really enjoy volunteering for conservation projects and wish to continue doing so in the near future. Sponsors anyone?? =D just kidding
