Spreading Anarcho-Capitalism Elsewhere

There’s another forum I frequent. I mainly go there for discussions on runes, the Poetic Eddas, and well anything European, pre-Christian, and heathen. Now, the catch is the forum has political ideologies from all over the place. Given, it’s a Germanic forum, and so you’ll end up having anyone from constitutionalist and conservatives to national socialist and oddly enough communist. I have started two threads to see how receptive the ideas would be.

Capitalism: A Discussion Piece

Morality & The State

I’ve been answering every question from an anarchist perspective.

Thoughts on the threads?

He said: “Allowing individuals to hire illegals helps enable the ongoing Third World invasion of the US which endangers both the American nation, and the white race collectively.”

Going along with the racist aspect of his argument instead of ignoring it, I don’t think he realizes that illegal immigrants come to the United States because their government is corrupt and that, in an anarcho-capitalist society, they would be free from the government and mostly free from poverty.

Sucks he doesn’t get the big picture. Really interesting debate, though!

There was a thread on leftist, and there were two people on insisted that capitalism is the problem, and we must look to the state for loyalty and honor. They don’t understand that the state is now causing all the things they have a problem with. It’s the “only if we had the right people to run things, it would work how we want it” argument.

Exactly. One of my favorite quotations by Milton Friedman is like that on my sig. People don’t realize that you can give a good leader all of the power in the world and he may do good things with it, but when the new leader comes into office, all of that power is still there to be used.

One comment on the nuclear weapons comments. The right to arms is important, but irrelevant (yes my favorite word) as an issue. Point out what nuclear weapons are used for, and whom has used it. Nukes are used as state deterrence. I can’t imagine what free individuals would need it for. My idea may or not require more debating but I think it’s a good point:

I messed up on the nuclear arms argument and should have mentioned PDA’s immediately, but failed to. I think their issue is that let’s say the US government is decentralized, and regions become more anarchist, what about other state’s who were threats to the USA before? They sort of see it as a weakness, and that any opposing state can now easily attack what was the USA.

People worry about safety. Who could blame them? How could you enjoy liberty if you aren’t safe? That’s why people make the trade off. It’s one of the reasons the state exists anyway “I threaten you, make you love me, and worship me, and I’ll keep you safe” “Aight.”
