I can imagine what the attempts to defend the officer will say.
“He deserved it! Sure, the officer was a bit violent, with shoving him on the ground and such, but the guy was asking for it! Did you see the way he was walking? He was suspicious! He had his hands in his pockets! He had his back turned to the police and was ignoring them!”
