What do y’all think the future will bring for the United States? We’ve had massive budget shortfalls, reduction in liberties, armies all over the globe, for quite some time now. With the economic collapse, I expect that, at the very least, we will be unable to meddle so deeply in world affairs as we have before. No complaint for me.
However, I forsee this crisis being used to drum up the cause of government ever higher, chains ever tighter, and more freedoms under the boot. I hope, but do not forsee, that perhaps a state or two will attempt to leave the Union. Hopefully such a state would be freer.
