Since every government destroys itself eventually, I think it would be a lot better if it was a one-world state collapsing instead of just one out of many. Unfortunately I just find it extremely hard to believe that a one-world state is achievable. Essential to the state’s so-called legitimacy is the existence of its enemies. And there will always be enemies when it comes to power. But if I’m wrong and state power becomes centralized worldwide, it’ll be a lot easier to take down. So let them try it. I look forward to it.
No you don’t. The world government would have little choice but to use a lot of coersion to rule. But this coersion would be progressively more violent as the benefactors of world government stole more and more from the victims. Before the world government would crack it would go on a violent rampage where the bureaucrats without any liability, responsibility or compassion would run roughshod over the victim class.
Kinda already knew this. Just saying.

Before the rushed legal establishment of an EU state, I haven’t heard of Mr. von Rompuy in any way, ever. Now, he’s supposed to be “capital-P President” of a “capital-U Union” that is seen by most people as a waste of energy and talks about global whatnots, as if by legal fiat he now has acquired the competence to say something meaningful.
Meanwhile, capital-L Leaders have a fun time in Copenhagen while saving the planet from a “crisis” that is increasingly considered a failed scam.
They have completely lost touch with reality, and they have decided to stick the pedal to the metal. Let’s see how that turns out.
I think that it would take so much coercion, in fact, that the movement to global guhment would lose its legitimacy faster than it could employ enforcers to do the deeds. And of course, powerful states that don’t subscribe to the movement would pose another obstacle. Look, the large governments of the world today currently derive their power from fractional-reserve central banking, and the shit is going to hit the fan in that regard sooner or later. I’d say that state power is on its way to contracting, not expanding.
I bet people used to say that there was going to be a one-world church back in the day, but then the printing press came along and everyone forgot about it all together. I think something similar is already happening today.
