Is the U.S. Libertarian Party even libertarian any more, they seem to be moving more and more mainstream?
dope-smoking Republicans, so far as I can tell. But who wants to bother to reform it? Who has the time that isn’t spent better otherwise? And what would be the point?
There are some genuine libertarians in the LP (Ruwart and Smith come to mind), though they are being flooded by big government types from both the left and the right.
Exactly why the political means is flawed.
It seems like third parties are just becoming things for former Republican or Democratic politicians to fall back upon. Ironically, it’s quite lame. For that reason, I think it was a good decision for Ron Paul not to seek the nomination for the Libertarian or Constition party.
