The most secret place on earth/CIA covert war on Laos

Got my emotions running high after viewing something like that so the question is as follows, how is it possible that the US has been getting away with the murder of countless peoples for so many decades long with almost nary a complaint from the rest of the world. Are they all just truly that terrified of US military might that they rather let the death go on than face punishment?(you are either with us or against us comes to mind). Or am I just silly to expect officials from any state to be interested in preventing human suffering. How can people be silent for so long?

I kind of look at it as if I were an alien visiting this planet, it would be quite obvious as to who’s the most dangerous threat to the entire world- the one with the most powerful military arsenal around- which doesn’t hesitate to use it on civilians. Its just that you know, being raised in schools where history teachers tell you that we live in a world where appeasment is no longer tolerated since the likes of Hitler rose to power, that certainly isn’t true. Countries like the US are allowed to go on a rampage around the world for as long as they like.

WHAT!? Are you suggesting that the U.S. is not a noble country? How dare you! I believe it’s a noble country. I don’t have anything to really back that up besides some vague sentiment that I’ve confused for actual knowledge after watching the O’Reilly Factor for 10 years concerning a subject I have never bothered to look into, but don’t you tell me that America has ever done anything wrong.

Lol I mean thats the response I expect from this crowd, not sure what I was trying to accomplish by asking why things like this happen. Theres probably no answer to be found other than thats just the way it is with those in power as it has been for centuries upon centuries.

It is very odd. I can’t think of many other nations that glorify the military the way the United States does. It’s pretty sickening.

I’ve heard about bombing of Laos as an effort to cut off a route between North and South Vietnam exploited by the former, but I haven’t been aware of the scale of the deaths among civilians as well as the details of U.S. operation in Laos. Good documentary.
