The "Mysterious" Great Depression

I know of this attitude towards the great depression all to well. I remember my old history teacher at one point told us, with a big smirk, that if anyone could ever figure out the causes of the great depression they would win the nobel price in economics.

If I wasn’t so attached to my own copy of Murray Rothbards “The great depression” I would send it to him or alt. hit him in the head with it.

Good article. I hate it when people blame the Great Depression on the free market when in fact free markets had nothing to do with the 1929 stock market crash or the decade long depression.

And they also repeat the Official Lie that Nero (Hoover) fiddled while Rome burned. We all know that Hoover’s social engineering desires and schemes laid the groundwork for the New Deal.
