So I while I was trying to look up the suicide rate for US troops from the War on Terror, I came across the wikipedia article on all US military casualties. I looked at the all the years listed and found out since the Civil War, there have only been 11 years that the US has not had troops engaged in combat. 1935-1936, 1938-1940, and 1974-1979. Remember, the world hates us for our freedoms(and George Bush).
This is one single, massive strawman. “Combat” is a very ambigious term that doesn’t express much meaning unless given content, if you really wanted to make a point, you would have to work harder and show the scale of all the hostilites the military of the United States was involved in.
That would be pretty cool to have a graph of number of ppl killed by us troops vs time. Multiple series for enemy troops, civilians, people who died as an indirect result of US intervention (fuzzy category prolly)
