The New American Statist Dictionary
A handy guide for the rest of us that translates from the formal Statese into the individualist’s lay terms, so we know just what the hell it is those people are talking about.
Word/Phrase - Definition
argumentum ad ignorantiam: Any argument put forward by a follower of the Judeo Christian faith.
Art: Anything that can be interpretted as a representation of any aspect of the oppression of white males.
Big: For statists, the word ‘big’ has a special defintion separate from the dictionary definition when it preceeds nouns and is capitalized. This is meant to separate out those who participate in Big noun for purposes of profit and to portray them as enemies of all that is good and right in the world, ie. Big Oil, Big Pharmacuticals, Big Auto, etc. Any member of Big noun is automatically evil. The only exception to this rule is when Big preceeds Government.
Capitalism: For a statist, any economic system which is not socialism is capitalism, but this especially true for economic systems with heavy government intervention that do not produce the results the statist wants.
Climate Change: The belief that while weather men can’t predict the weather accurately more than few days into the future, their predictions for the next hundred years should be the foundation for all government policy. Climate change often mascarades as science as is commonly defined, but as with science as defined by the statist, it is not subject to the usual conditions of science as commonly defined, ie. data sharing for purposes of confirmation and replication of results is not required in the field of science studying climate change.
Corporation: Evil.
Culture: The most crass, disgusting, offensive, harmful, and least desirable aspects of any society.
Deregulation: The act of regulation.
Economic Stimulus: Any act of spending or regulation on the part of the government which can be framed in a metaphorical manner to make it seem analogous to ressussitating a human being from the brink of death, starting a car with a dead battery, or any number of other similar metaphors.
Economist: Any one with a Master’s Degree or higher education that says anything about the economy the statist agrees with.
Fair Share: More than you currently pay in taxes, whether it be less or more than the statist who accuses you of not paying your fair share, and regardless of how much you have given to charity, and especially ignoring how much you have productively contributed to the market in general.
Free Market: Any market which the government controls.
Freedom: Freedom is opportunistically defined to fit the result the statist wants. It can mean true freedom in a natural law sense if that serve’s the statist’s ends, or it can and often means government enablement and/or empowerment of an individual or group.
Liberty: A common excuse not to pay your ‘fair share’.
Literature: Usually includes anything that was considered suitable for a two year old circa 1940, and any written material that would satisfy the statist definition of culture and what in the common lexicon usually is referred to as ‘trash’ or ‘shit’.
Money: Green paper that the government prints, and for which it is a crime for anyone else to print, though the statist generally will never ask why this double standard exists.
Peace: Something only attainable through mass murder, carpet bombing, and aggressive foreign policies that irritate as many foreigner as possible.
Science: A group of random and constantly changing points of dogma which can plausibly be linked to anyone with an advanced degree or wearing a white lab coat, no matter how moronic or stupid the claims and/or the people with whom they are plausibly linked happen to be.
Security: Any action or actions taken by the state to assure you that you will not be harming anyone else.
Trade: A means of exploiting those who have something you want via the dastardly and deplorable act of giving them something they want in exchange for what you want.
Voluntary: Any act that is undertaken by any individual in circumstances where the coersion is at least not evident to anyone with the IQ of an artichoke or lower.
Wages: The sum of money your employer pays you for your work, which is entirely under your employer’s control and which your employer could push to subsistance levels or even hold if he so desired but doesn’t, presumably for nefarious reasons.
War: Something that must be constantly waged for peace and security.
