Some publishers and agents expressed concern over a new, experimental feature that reads text aloud with a computer-generated voice.

“They don’t have the right to read a book out loud,” said Paul Aiken, executive director of the Authors Guild. “That’s an audio right, which is derivative under copyright law.”

So if your blind and a friend reads a book to you he, and you, are infringing on someone else’s alleged rights. And more, do you like to read books to your kids before bed? Good ole bed time stories? Well stop it, your violating someone else’s rights.
