Correct, and the response will be to grant refugee status to yet another low IQ, high social pathology population group to justify a million more police and social workers and public schools. The criminal gangs will take root here, as they already are in southern California and Virginia, and we’ll just have to hire more police and social workers, and on and on.
We should all learn Spanish, because it will make it easier for us to negotiate the MS-13 roadblocks as we flee to rural areas from the collapsing cities.
Content? What content? If you wish to have a debate I am willing. In answer to your second line, yes, I have. Is there a point to your question? Nationalism in any form is problematic.
Thank you. It is not “PC” though I don’t think. I simply think that we need to reach out. If the freedom movement is to survive into this new century we must. What Byzantine does at times may alienate many of the people we need to bring into the fold.
Well, I’m still not seeing what was objectionable in his post.
Because he identified a ethnic/cultural group collectively? I guess I can see that. Although his claims of a gang mentality, social pathology, low IQ could all be legit, and my approach might have been to ask him to substantiate those claims.
After seeing Dr. Block get attacked for pointing out studies that suggest differences in the distribution of IQ in woman and men, or that genetically different race groups might have different IQ distributions and thresholds, I’m sensitive to too much sensitivity. Niccolo used to make the claim that these people were anarchistic by nature. But I think we all know that the specific group Byzantine was referencing is fanatically racially and culturally nationalistic, which is not a segment that has natural sympathies for libertarianism.
IMO, good to look for allies, bad to see them in everyone equally.
BTW, I’ve talked to Mexicans, Colombians, Brazilians and Lebanese Christians who spent a ton of money emigrating from places with low average IQ and high rates of social pathology as well. They’re not too happy about USG policy in this area.
I live in Florida and there is a large Hispanic population here. Hispanics are far from uniform culturally or politically. The only thing that really draws these people together is a common language. Nationalism? I have not seem more extreme nationalism among Hispanics than I have seen among native-born non-Hispanic Americans. They put flag magnets on their cars at times but I also see plenty of U.S. flag magnets.
Because most people who most on Mises, as much as they hate it, are middle - upper class and white. And from my experience with upper class white people, we generally tend to cross the road when we see a group of black people at night.
In any case, I don’t see any reason to see you as any different from every other white folk that wants to preserve various cultures around the world and wouldn’t go live with those primitives for any amount of money. Or the white people who want to send as many black people to universities as possible only to avoid them at all costs when they meet them on campus.
