At the very least, it must be a law that refers to “the land”. I know of no such law.
That depends on which United States is in question. If the physical geographic region often referred to as United States: a mix of private property, markets in private property and violations of private property. If the legal corporate entity United States: corporate bureaucratic management.

Some well meaning (but wrong) politicians worked with some other power hungry politicians to amend The Articles. They lied and ended up creating the federal government. (P.S. It was a bad idea)

The greatest minds of their time–nay, of ALL time–gathered together in a historic event to craft a document that would change the world. They laid down a just law designed to limit the federal government and crafted our glorious Republic. Surely, if there was any moment of history that was divinely influenced by the Almighty God, it was this. Such a pity that our nation has forgotten the ideals our Founding Fathers laid down. It’s because of how far we’ve fallen that I’m going to run for political office–and hopefully the Presidency someday–and I’ll hopefully be able to change EVERYTHING.

What “land” are we talking about? And if this “land” doesn’t enclose the entire world, why does this arbitrary distinction exist? Is this law somehow not good enough for all of the other barely distinguishable people of the world? There is no supreme law save that of the natural law we all live by.
It’s often called “capitalism” but it is more accurately corporatism with a bit of socialism thrown in here and there.
A few misguided good people and a lot of power-hungry fools got together on false pretenses–lying to the public about it–and created a system of government much more centralized than the earlier Articles of Confederation. They then gave this to the various state governments, which imposed it upon their populous, willing or no.
