Volunteers for translating Man, Economy & State : an Open Source project

I am trying to find volunteers to translate Man, Economy & State into Spanish. Please look for me (Gustavo Sosa) in Facebook of just send me a message here.

A reputable Spanish-speaking economist is needed to act as editor-in-chief.

It is supposed to be a pro-bono job, but it would be great if the Mises Institute helps by rewarding the contributors with free hardcopy books.

Buena Suerte!

If something like a private forum or wiki would help you, I would be happy to set one up on my website for your project.

¿De donde eres?

Wow. Is there really no Spanish translation of MES? I’m quite shocked.

I know there’s Spanish translation of Human Action that Jesus Huerta de Soto uses in his classes, but I too am surprised that there is no Spanish translation of MES.

I have read somewhere that there was a translation, but I haven’t been able to find any other mention of it. If there was I would just scan the book.

By the way, it would be nice to know if the Spanish translation of Human Action are copyleft and if it is ok to put scans of it online; just to have things clear.

I am from Uruguay.

Olovetto, which is your website?

Yes, we would need a forum to discuss terms and possible translations.

You could try emailing Professor Jesus Huerta de Soto.

Yes, try e-mailing Jesus Huerta de Soto, maybe he can add something valuable!

Oh, I was going to suggest visiting Jesús Huerta de Soto during his office hours, but nevermind. If I still lived in Madrid I would try, but I don’t.

My main website doesn’t have anything on it as of right now but I use subdomains for a few projects, and yours would have its own subdomain. Check with de Soto if a translation exists and I will create it if you need. I will add you as friends and we can communicate there as well.

Jesús Huerta de Soto replied to me.

ESEADE is currently translating and publishing ME&S. At the moment, only the first of 2 parts has been released to the public.

But maybe we could pickup another book for translation. “The Great Depression” sounds good. Timing is not great, but is good enough.

Tom Woods, Meltdown instead?

Smaller, get done quicker, more relevant?

I think all of Mises’ works should be translated into English.
