We have to take some class that’s classified as “ethnic studies” here at the University of Wisconsin in order to graduate. I’m going to see if I can get away with taking an Amerindian linguistics class to fulfill this stupid requirement.
Alternately, I could take the easy route and take one of the plethora of joke classes that are options.
Yep. Ethnic Diversity requirement (Took geography of minorities, I made up some bullshit about kar marx on my final essay for the A) and an art class (taking Intro to Architectural Theory, again the professor is obviously authoritarian left) at UW-Milwaukee
I second both whoever said the average American college and the person above him who complained about UW’s ethnic studies requirement. The list of classes you can take to fufill that requirement is even worse.
A piece of advice to all of you who have yet to go to college: unless you want to become a professor or something similar, get a degree in engineering or the hard sciences, you can always read about history and political science on your own time. That way you avoid spending thousands on a bunch of bullshit classes like those listed above as much as is humanly possible.
No one is the least bit curious about the labor organizing? I have to admit though as a dude anything with the word sex is probably going to win. And what the hell does environmental psych mean?
