Was Hitler lying when he said there was no gold to use a currency in Germany?

I read a quote from Hitler saying there was no gold in Germany from the Web of Debt website (which tends to be a lot of BS).

Was Hitler lying when he said that? If he wasn’t, then what happened to all the gold?

I read Gary North’s excelllent article, “Cheerleader for Hitler’s Economics” and he points out a ton of her errors, but I couldn’t find anything about that quote.

Also, did the state banks in Nazi Germany practice fractional reserve lending, or did all of the inflation come from new money printed?

I bet the good guys at Versailles took it, after all they imposed massive debt obligation, why not get the “reparations” in their gold too?

They did the same in Japan, check the book “Gold Warriors: America’s Secret Recovery of Yamashita’s Gold”, after Japan did the dirty work of stealing Asia’s gold, the american took it from Japan, and of course keep it secret for black budget (military/intelligence/political/country buying…)

Another important thing to keep in mind is war counterfeiting, both countries were at it as economic warfare, just to be careful.

If I remember correctly the monetary base didn’t grow “that much”, twice or less, with the country doubling in size and generally growing (like the first autobahns in Europe). Hitler was angry when he was shown the growth of monetary base and was against it, he was for equating expenses with income.
