What are the reasons for high health insurance costs?

I’m sure there are plenty of reasons for the high cost; demand, technology, potential liabilities, and probably many more reasons that I have not mentioned. But, if you think it is expensive now just wait…

There is only 1: Lack of a pricing system. The mass majority of consumers, me included, do not have to pay the real price of health care. Without a pricing system consumers do not have any mechanism to save themselves money by selectively shopping for services.
