Classical liberalism also contained many majoritarian, egalitarian, democratic, populist and other assorted left-wing ideas and its dedication to freedom - more real in some cases than others - is mostly based on absurd philosophical doctrines and mystical nonsense. While I appreciate some good that classical liberals (mainly the economists) did write and develop there is easily as much wrong as right with the movement. I am most definitely not a classical liberal, I am a libertarian - which is nothing ‘classical’ at all.
