I need to find one, maybe two programmers to collaborate on a start-up business, but I’m seriously not interested in working with people that don’t share my economic understanding. How would you go about seeking out like-minded colleagues in your area? Craigslist? Do you place an ad on Monster asking specifically about things like this? I don’t want to offend anyone, and I know this whole premisemay be difficult to employ, but I need partners that I like and respect, and will feel the same way about me and my beliefs. I’ve been down the road of “keep it cordial and don’t talk about anything but work” and I won’t build my company under those suffocating terms. So- any help on where to find some awesome peaceful libertarian geeks in SE N.C.?
Have you considered working with these partners remotely? While in some aspects less satisfying, this opens much more options than looking for local people.
I need a lot more contact and exchange of ideas than an online relationship can deliver. Besides, I want to get to know these people over and above their written specs. I thought about having a Geek-think coffee-drink of some sort. Maybe put a post on Craigslist or MeetUp or something. I think that would be both fun and revealing.
