Which of deflationary depression and hyperinflation depression is potentially the worst and why?

Would you rather freeze to death or burn to death?

Since the monetary pattern of a depression doesnt accurately reflect the fundamental depression causes it’s impossible to tell which would be worse - however - I would think on average inflationary problems would be easier to correct as restructring the currency would do a lot to bring it back more quickly.

WW1 Germany. With the war loss, damaged national pride, and socialism as the cure, this is the primary cause for WW2.

Great Depression in he U.S. because it turned from us bad capitalism to socialism, and socialism is glorified to have saved the U.S. economy. All the socialist programs like Social Security were a result.

Your question has no meaning given the correct definition of Inflation/deflation. The US and most of the western world is in an Inflationary Depression. The issue is that the inflation already has taken place through central bank creation of new money through cheap credit. The solution of market forces (CONSUMERS) is to reduce the purchases of items whose prices went up from the previous credit expansion thus reducing the money supply, this process is commonly and correctly termed a “CORRECTION”. The solution of central banks is to rapidly increase the money supply in a futile attempt to keep prices from collapsing. Of course the effect of the money supply expansion leads to increasing prices and the need for consumers to provide more correction.

Are you saying there is no hyperinflation depression? Please try to be more clear.
