Stalin’s stranglehold on the reigns of power was complete after the soviet purges. i don’t really see how the British military train service caused the Soviets to erect the Berlin Wall, or how this caused the Soviet Union to collapse, or how this really matters, as I find it hard for you to advocate the totalitarian regime of Stalin, even from a Statist communist standpoint.

its not the train exactly its what an inncodent involving the train triggered, my theory has not been dis-provern, its has been sterotyped as evil by the masses due to people becoming products of the cold war, and it was never accepted in society hence the reason it strugled to get off the ground and some people suffered, however communism has proven itself better than capitalism in many ways…

That was kinda my point, there has never been a totaly sucseful regime due to it not being accepted. However an example of it being superior would be Cuba, Its literacy rates, life expectency and healthcare are far superior than the United States that has tortured that poor little country for 50 years…

Asking him to name a single successful instance of communism is just as fruitless as him asking us to name a succesfull anarchist instance.

The US blockade is not the reason they are poor. They are poor because of central planning.
As for literacy, there are 3 reasons:

Their statistics could be wrong / a lie / use different standards for literacy (we will ignore this in case it isn’t true)

U.S. public schools suck because of government control - this says nothing about capitalism vs. communism

Any country could have the highest in X category by dedicating all of its resources to that category. For example we could give free one on one tutoring to every kid for the first 20 years of their lives. That would probably make the US the most educated country, but it would also have disastrous effects in other areas. Therefore even IF a country’s literacy / health is better because it is more subsidizes them, this does not make the country better than another, or even better off than it would be if it didn’t subsidize those things.
It’s like saying “The US shows that capitalism is the best because we have the best military.” Of course we do, we wreck our economy spending the most money on it. But you are not taking into account the unseen effects of this subsidation.
Healthcare comparisons are not that reliable anyway. Statistics can be used to show that the US has the best healthcare system in the world. You are probably referring to the WHO report that rates the US as 37th or whatever, mainly just because we don’t have UHC.
My girlfriend went to a doctor in Cuba. They didn’t even have band-aids, and there was trash on the floor. Don’t believe everything you hear.

I would disagree with that. They have secret police, which is already proof (to me at least) that it has failed.
You say that like I care about these statistics as a measurement of superiority, and that I think the United States is an example of the way all countries should be. Tell me, could I start an anti-government newspaper in Cuba? Could I own a gun? Could I start a rival political party? Do I have uncensored access to media, and the internet?
Try this bad boy out for size, and tell me where you think Cuba ranks. If the purpose of communism is to end slavery, Cuba has abjectly failed (as have all communist regimes).

Yes, and the Soviet Union had a fantastic space programme, at the expense of a wrecked living standard for the people.
Please remember that the State can only redistribute what is there, and it can only direct resources towards things that people do not want, or want in the wrong proportion, and thus it can only impoverish people.
