right because it’s not about ideas, it is about power. It’s about wielding a power that is desirable but beyond your reach. It’s not what anybody thinks. Not even you bloom. It’s only about power and the best way to maintain that power. Ideas are meaningless when it comes to the gov’t.

You make a great point. I’ve thought about this quite a bit. Government is power. But man seeks power with or without government. That can’t be changed. You say destroying the current system would yield better results. Maybe. But I won’t help you tear it down. I have a different path.

I didn’t say anything about what I would do. I’m simply refreshing your memory that gov’t is power. So no point in wasting anybody’s time on what you think the gov’t should or shouldn’t be doing. Just get the power, Mach. would say, by any means necessary, deception, out-right lies, murder (but make sure it’s done in ones own favor to keep popular support), etc… Your not being very convincing and putting any effort into ‘the game’.

It’s not a matter of giving up. It’s a matter of recognizing what has happened, that is, the experiment in limited government has failed. From your quote above, since you see it a different way, you seem to infer that it ends the discussion. Matter solved. Case closed. Turn out the lights. Next question.

Yeah but your experience and point of view are relative to you. And that’s fine. The discussion doesn’t necessarily end but for all practical purposes I think it does. If I decide to be an anarchist, it won’t be because of something someone else has said, but because I think I stand to gain more from it. That I think it can work. I don’t. But I’m still learning maybe I’ll change my mind later who knows?

I haven’t read a single reply from anyone in this forum who says he is an anarchist. Anarcho-capitalism is a completely different matter. Maybe you just didn’t use the right word, but the word you used is not what anyone is talking about. In my own case, I didn’t “choose” to become an anarcho-capitalist; rather, I was left with no choice given what “limited government” has done.
If you are looking to see what system you can “gain” the most from as a basis for making a decision, well, you can forget anarcho-capitalism. You would be on your own under such system. It would not have anything to offer “you”. It has nothing to offer, but liberty. My advice: Stay in the “limited government” framework you’re in now. Whenever the discussion here gets a little “dicey”, you seem to retreat into “well, you believe what you believe, I believe what I believe” or some such variant. I’ve seen you do that many times.

True. At a certain point, I’ve said what I have to say and you’ve said what you have to say and we take from it what we can. I don’t expect you to change your mind because of some internet discussion nor do I expect to have my mind changed.
I agree, if it’s in Bloom’s interest to identify which system he will gain most from than he needs to start looking more at totalitarian systems or dictatorships. Capitalism is the wrong way to go. Dictatorship has proven in the past to work, if the goal was to service the need of a single individual.
