It could be because I live in the U.S, I don’t suffer as much enroachments on my property as European citizens do by their Governments. I mean The Patriot Act is not even as bad as everyone makes it off to be, sure its a violation of property rights, but the FBI simply does not have the resources to snoop through everyone’s information.
What did bother me recently, by the U.S Government is the Guantamo Bay, I feel ****ing bad for those kids, and it was all because the Government is capable of this. I feel terrible for U.K citizens who will now face an internet regulation model similar to our Federal War on Drugs.
However, I think 9/11 conspiracy theories and WWII conspiracy theories are ridiculous, as are most conspiracy theories.
Does the Federal Reserve have secrecy? hard to tell, that is only a Libertarian theory. The Second U.S Central Bank was corrupt, but it was transparent, The Federal Reserve is not, so its hard to tell.
Its just, I don’t have emotional responses and feelings towards the Government as much as some other Libertarians do. But then again, it could be quite possibly because the U.S has a norm of civil liberties that the EU does not. The U.S Government is VERY laid back in law enforcement, we have even almost completely gotten rid of the death penalty.
However, I know what works and what doesn’t, and I know that The Free Market is the only one that works the most.
The USA is gonna go down economically because of statism before europe, what does that tell you about government interference?
Edit: Also, you must be lacking empathy, knowing what government does, and how it will affect everything it touches, you have to understand all the pain and suffering it will cause. You and people you know will probably die years before you would have in a free society, you will have less free time and less wealth because of the state and its programs that only impoverish those who work. It’s a blood sucking leech, and it really is blood that it is sucking.

With in 10+ years, you’ll change you’re opinion. I don’t see why you don’t hate government. It lies to you on a daily basis. It tells you, we’ll help you. Then takes you’re money, and spends it towards things you wish not to be.
Would you rather get three meals a day, but be in prison. Or be free and eating bark. Would you rather die on you’re feet then live on you’re knees?
Coercive government is an institution that transcends each person’s immediate experience with the institution.
Analysis of the institution will always include the epic failures, wars, induced food shortages, genocides, etc. that governments around the world have produced in the past.
Imagine that your experience with coercive government was formed in ww2 era germany, or the soviet union, or you got killed by your government (hundreds of millions in 20th century), or you’re in jail in America cause you used drugs…
The U.S Government has never committed Genocide, or mass food shortages. I have lived in the U.S my entire life, and never traveled outside. I don’t like the Government here for the Federal War on Drugs, and shitty politicians. The Government alone is just an entity, the U.S government. Its the politicians, the people who run it that are fucked. I hardly ever approve of the things that politicians want.
There have been plenty of genocides, the most recent is the one over in iraq, and they are considering having one in Iran too. There have been plenty of shortages (they usually employ price controls in an “emergency” like Katrina or when inflation is high), but not famines.

What is it when we lend money to dictators then bribe them not to pay us back and put countries into debt slavery? Guatemala pays 50% of its GDP towards servicing its debt… let alone the sale of its natural resources including water to multinational corporations.
