No, I think it’s a pipedream. The fractional-reserve central bank system is already falling apart. I think the financial voodoo required to form a one-world state would end up with the laws of economics bitch-slapping state leaders in the face, really hard. Besides, the likelihood of all the currently existing states submitting to a one-world system is nil in my opinion. To elaborate on what I said earlier, global warming alarmists believe without a shred of skepticism that current industrial practices are going to doom the Earth. On the other hand, one-world state alarmists believe without a shred of skepticism that a one-world state would somehow be a lasting, viable system.
As others have been pointing out, we already have a de facto world government, and they’re continuously making steps forward to a total takeover.
15 years ago I would have laughed at the idea that all the countries in Europe would submit to a European Union with it’s own president and constitution, but today that is almost accomplished.

They have no armed forces. So, their say is zero.
I also think that these world leaders understand how much democracy screws with their own people. With that knowledge, why would they want to be a member of a democracy of world leaders?
I see all these group meetings as a way for these leaders to get together and come up with new ways of screwing over their citizens into doing what the leaders want them to do. Kind of like a “world leaders workshop”
U.S. military, NATO, UN peacekeeping forces, India forces, Libyian forces, etc… pick any country and if they go off on some foreign excursion then undoubtedly there is always that appeal to other countries to join them and most do finanically and with a military. Also a lot of these policies are already being enacted domestically. Individual countries go to these meetings and then big back the policies to pass through legislation. It’s been going on for a long time this way.
silly real example:
My brother two weeks before Copenhagen tried to buy an oil-base paint for some rather large window frames outside. They don’t sell anything over 1 quart of oil base paint anymore. It was already pulled off the shelves. why? The store owner told him because of the Copenhagen thing, but obviously it was two weeks before Copenhagen SO policies were already enacted BEFORE Copenhagen. I’m not keeping a close eye on the details yet, but who knows how many policies are enacted during these global meetings. I know some are, ie. global interest rates decreases altogether after global meeting late-2008, WHO alerts on swine flu (and this is only recent events, many before such) etc…
Back to the oil-paint: They are not allowed to sell oil based paint over 1 quart because when it is open, the can surface area is considered too big if over 1 quart. Too many fumes are released with the larger surface area of the can it is said. bad for the environment to have all those fumes released. meanwhile my brother is painting an area near ten feet in area and it takes the paint about 2 weeks to dry - big surface area. it’s non-sense stupid stuff to make people stupid
