So I am planning on writing to those governing over me, to advise them I do not consent to their laws or their taxes and asking that they give me a tax exempt status and a law exempt status.
Now, I of course know that nothing will come of this. But at least they will know I do not consent and that I think they are tyrants.
Has anyone done this? If so, do you have an example of the letter you sent? I am thinking that I will start out explaining that a tyrant is one who rules without consent and go from there. Or, if any of you have an idea as to what you would write, I would be happy to see it.

I am down with your motivation, but unless you are going to use it to get a lot of publicity, I’m not sure what purpose it serves. As long as you recognize your slavery, then I’m not sure announcing to your master you are aware of your situation will amount to much.
Wow. Some have. Buy, my strategy is more cowardly. I do not have to tell them that I do not consent. I just simply do not cooperate with them. You do not have to talk to police and you do have the ability to distort the income you make. Telling them you do not consent, makes you a target. I would do no such thing.
There is greater freedom in blending in and giving everyone the illusion of a full fleged law abiding citizen. We simply do not have the popular support of enough peopele.
In an RLC group I am part of, someone posted a quote stating that silence is consent. I just want to have proof that I was not silent, and as such, did not consent. Also, maybe their eyes may be opened that they are being tyrants. Probably not, though, from my experience.

No, you do not have to talk to police. But if you do not, you will find yourself in the same situtation as Sam in New Hampshire, and you will end up in jail.
So, I still intend to cooperate, because unlike those in government, who in my opinion are all violent thugs, I am not a violent person. I think Gandhi is one of the greatest people and examples to have ever lived.
No, I do not think it is complete bullshit. If someone came and started tilling your lawn, and you did not say anything, after a while, would it not become his lawn? Silence can mean consent.
But I must ask: Who are they that are so important to get a letter from you?
And that whole posting thing about “silence is consent” is a farce. Silence is when you have the opportunity to make real change and it is within ones grasp to make a difference and they still turn away. That whole “silence is consent” crap sounds like somebody yearning for more power and so they are trying to belittle others for the lack of power they themselves have in their own frustrations. I’m sure when the time comes and you will be given an opportunity to answer to the call of freedom when the moment seriously matters you will not be silent and turn away.
Really now, I may just sound like a troll. But in that time you could be doing far more worthwhile things from educating yourself further on the economic and political issues concerned with the state to teaching yourself how to use a gun or coming up with a better strategy.
It just seems like a waste of time sending a letter to the state telling them you’re not too thrilled with the way they’re ruling over you. At best they’re going to write back telling you that they are magazines you can write letters to that’ll give you advise on your personal issues, at worst it won’t even get read.
People trying to infringe on my freedom. Like I said, it is just like someone trying to use your property without your consent. After a while it becomes his or her property if you never say anything abou it.
As if spending 30 minutes writing the letter and sending it is really that big of a deal…
And you are wrong as to what would happen at best or at worst. At best, they grant me immunity from their laws and taxes. At worst, they revoke my citizenship and throw me in jail.
I understand this and agree with it to an extent. But the state is not going to stop taxing you or claiming ownership of you because you tell them to bugger off.
I have thought about starting an organization where members affirm their individual sovereignty, but that would be mostly for PR purposes. I wouldn’t expect anything to come of it.
I don’t see anybody outside my window on my property right now except for a robin getting a worm where I was digging in the garden this morning. But hey if you think your letter will bring the State down so be it. It’s your thoughts.
Oh, I know. They are immoral. What I would be asking them to do is moral. They think of me as their slave, to do their bidding. I would not expect a slave holder to let his slaves go just because he was asked by them to give them their freedom. But if they never ask, the slave owner can never know in the first place that they are unhappy.
Did I say someone was on your lawn? I said IF someone was on your lawn, and you let them stay there without saying anything, it would become their lawn.
