For those of you who read, or remember reading, my article “Grassroots for Mises” you know that a group of Misesians in San Diego (California) are interested in creating a private Misesian library. As I write,
In an effort to further the movement for liberty by making Café Libertalia a local haven for libertarians, Jesse and Donna have begun planning their most ambitious effort yet. This is nothing less than a privately owned libertarian library, organized within the walls of the cafe. Local students of Austrian and libertarian theory currently have access to digital files through the website, or they can outright buy books. Jesse and Donna’s plan for a private Misesian library would mean that those interested would have physical books at their disposal for reading at the cafe (or for purchase at a reasonable price). Over the long term, the library would hold books on a wide array of topics, ranging from economics to philosophy.
Well, thanks mostly to the efforts of the owners of Café Libertalia (and a very generous donation), that project is finally evolving at a very rapid pace.
The owners, along with the rest of the board of directors of a hopefully soon-to-be non-profit organization, are hoping to start what may become known as ‘Mises West’ (despite the name, it will be a pretty modest enterprise).
For now, we are focusing on the development of a website, mostly to archive events hosted by ‘Mises West’, and I was wondering if there was anybody adept at photoshop or something who is interested in donating time and labor towards creating a logo for the organization (for those who may do it for a living, while I’m in a position to offer monetary recompense, the about page will include a description of the logo and will give the author credit).
We would appreciate it greatly.
