@JJ: Wow, awesome vid, left the hair standing on the back of my neck…
It’s just beyond belief how fakearoo the whole political sham has become. It’s almost like they don’t even care to hide it anymore. Mitt Romney is the “shoo-in Republican candidate” but he has to crop his camera shots in an empty stadium so that people won’t see how pathetic the turnout is? Didn’t Kim Jong Il have to do that for his “rallies”? RP doesn’t have to fake his numbers, the bleachers are packed to capacity over and over again!
I bet Ludwig von Mises can get more fans than John Maynard Keynes posted the following on facebook:
"This election will probably have the biggest contrast that we’ve seen maybe since the Johnson-Goldwater election - maybe before that," - Barack Obama
Yes, he was talking about this year’s presidential election.
For the purpose of forum cohesion, could we create a separate thread specifically for “civilization is evil?” It seems like it would better serve us all. It helps F4M because there’s a centralized distribution center of his propaganda, it helps JJ because the forum is less cluttered, and it helps spectators because we don’t have to read the long arguments between you guys.
Actually, now that I think about it, F4M may have disproved a fundamental Voluntaryist idea - ostracizing. It apparently does not work.
I doubt it- there’s no way to limit/prevent a user from posting here which would be a greater form of ostracism than arguing with the person in question: arguing or questioning a user elicits a response from that user; limiting access would … limit access and be a form of ostracism.
Perhaps if there was a way for users to subtract points from posts, rather than add points to such posts that are negative, and use this method to limit, by some measure, how many times a poster may post on a daily/weekly basis; or allow a poster to limit the audience that can see a post to his/her friends; or prevent a user from seeing them or posting on them.
I’d imagine these adjustments (unlikely that the forum will be modified from what has been posted regarding perceived faults) would produce different results. Then again, maybe not.
Is every one of your new posts going to consist of the same hypocritical crap you’ve posted since you got here?
I’ve already tried this. Twice, I believe. And plenty of his posts have had to be split from the low content threads. Here’s one. Here’s another. Freedom4Me73986 already has an entire thread on hunting and gathering. And entire thread for his FSP propaganda (which, he agreed to stop posting). And he’s created plenty of other threads (even in through derailing low-content enough to have them split into their own thread). I think it is a great idea to have a designated thread for all his crap. I mean, hell. I thought of it. If you think you can get him to stick to it, by all means, make one. I just won’t be holding my breath.
No, that had to be a response to him posting in the low content thread or somewhere else. As I said he was notorious for that even after all these special threads were created just for his crap. Evidently his post got split and moved to that designated thread and my reply went along with it.
Not every Harvard Law School alumnus has a class devoted to him — but then, President Barack Obama is not just any alumnus.
According to the Harvard Law School course catalog, professor Charles Ogletree will be teaching a reading group called “Understanding Obama” for one classroom credit during the 2013 spring term.
