Business Insider: Make Krugman the Fed Chairman!

From Simon Johnson:

“Ben Bernanke should withdraw and the president should nominate Paul Krugman to take his place.”

ahahaaaaaaaaaaa!

Sorry, I have to get ahold of myself. Another article on the page states: anti-Bernanke people are hypocrites. Banks love him! Where oh where do these chumps take their courses in logic?

This is the same Paul Krugman who suggested that Spain should break away from the euro, go back to the peseta and inflate it in order to pay for their debt. I can agree with the idea of breaking away from the euro, but not just to destroy another currency.

Actually, I was thinking of how making him Chairman would be a very interesting idea yesterday. Give him the opportunity to try out his economics personally.

I actually suggested this as a joke yesterday in another thread. Looks like somebody may have taken it seriously.

Exactly. Since there is going to be a puppet at the Fed anyways, it would be great to have Krugman at the Fed.

Krugman as the Fed chair would be simultaneously the best and worst thing that could ever happen to our economy. When the inevitable state collapse occurs, seeing Krugman as the face of the Fed would be… poetic.
