"“This report confirms what most Americans assume about their government. We are spending trillions of dollars every year and nobody knows what we are doing. The executive branch doesn’t know. The congressional branch doesn’t know. Nobody knows,” Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., said in a statement Tuesday morning. “This report also shows we could save taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars every year without cutting services.”
Yes but they are fighting over gouging a huge 60billion in increases out of a $3.7 thousand billions of which 1.7 thousand billions is debt financed. So that is 60/3700 ~ 1.6% or 60/1700 = 3.5% of debts. But wait the budget and therefore debt are growing faster tahn 1.6% or 3.5% so the congress can eliminate this money for ever and not lower the budget deficit.
Also if you eliminate duplicate services you eliminate duplicate jobs. That output will be lost. ![]()
