Being from the NYTimes I didn’t expect much. Hah, I think it would be funny to see a similar form from an Austrian perspective. I know one change I’d like to see:
Reduce the federal workforce by 10 percent ===> Reduce the federal workforce by 100 percent
Oh cmon, It’s just a zero!
This is such a joke of an interactive puzzle.
And its sad that it draws the inner central planner out of people. I bet almost no one who partakes in this ever questions why there needs to be a “budget” period.
Yea, just the act of taking it and really thinking you could have solved anything only affirms your endorsement of the state. I saw a “limited-government” Republican friend of mine post (this same puzzle) on Facebook proudly how he solved the deficit problem without raising the social security cap or ending government tax breaks for employer-based health insurance, good job buddy!
I would prefer to see a comparison of how each one of these items has deteriorated our society (the real cost), I have already heard a lot of it through the dailies.
