Hoppe: In A Crazy World

Introductory speech from the Property and Freedom Society fourth annual meeting. He describes the bulk of the intellectual cover for the state in our time. It’s pretty funny.

That was brilliant. My only fear is someone will read it, except for the last paragraph, and think he was serious and believe it.

I’ve been trying to avoid sarcasm particularly in print because it is too hard to convey it consistently. The longer the windup, the greater the chance it will be misunderstood.

I think if we began to write all sarcastic comments in ComicSans, less mic-communication would occur.

I mean, I don’t think I know a single person who actually likes that font. Really.

lol, I had a friend who opened a restaurant and she used that font for the logo and menus. Only the high quality of the food and size of the servings saved it.
