I meant why was I saying what I was saying - you clearly oppose national service funded coercively - so there was no point me saying that you should oppose it were it to be funded in that way.
I got drafted too back in my youth days. Immediately applied as a conscieous objector, because that’s what I am. My request was quickly accepted and I was sent helping running a local, much rundown public library. Yes, I became a forcibly conscripted public servant! [:D]
I know you’ll hate me but back then I simply could not afford the costly legal procedures associated with “going all the way” and much less going to jail. The only consolation is that, as a civil servant, i didn’t have to swear my alliance to any national body, nor “giving my life” for any crackpot cause…
