I’m definitely enjoying the courses they give in the Mises Academy. However, is there any other benefit (other than the knowledge) that the certificates you get can do for you? Are there some universities that accept? Thanks.

Every course is worth 3 credits in our internal system. Although we are not accredited, feel free to request other institutions to specially accept our credits as transfer credits.

I haven’t had a lot of time to follow the courses, unfortunately, but from what I’ve seen it’s def. something I suggest that everyone (that can afford it) do, because they present a really easy way to become really familiar with the material they cover.
Request from me to class takers: could you nag Robert Murphy to explain his thoughts on unbacked scarce tokens as ‘money’ (Bitcoin et al)?
I emailed Hulsmann politely (3 days ago) and haven’t heard from him, and Robert replied to me and said he didn’t know much about it (which he really doesn’t have to).
There hasn’t been anything written by a prominent Austrian about the subject, if you search for it. Of course, there is a lot of theory about what money is, but the application of that theory to Bitcoin could prove insightful. It should generate some traffic too. A Mises Daily would be very nice. Similar to http://mises.org/daily/4636 (about the Venus Project).
I might take one over the summer (maybe the second part of MES, although I’m a huge MES fan/buff I thought I knew price theory/praxeology well enough for me not to take the class, not to mention it starts during finals). I look at alot of the classes and they seem interesting, the problem is that I have school so it’d be difficult to balance the workload/watching lectures if they intefere with class schedules or homework. If I take a class, I really want to have the time to devote as well as enjoy it, instead of viewing it as another task I have to rush through.
You might also be able to convince a professor in the relevant department (Economics, Philosophy) to accept a class in the Mises Academy as an Independent Study.

The LvMI is not a certified university, so I really doubt that.
Why not? Some students have convinced professors to give them credits for going to Mises University. Independent Studies are dependant on the professor and can sometimes be lenient.
