What’s the most libertarian (or less socialist) newspaper here in Italy?
I get all the information I want from the internet, but I’d like to know if paper still offers something for those old fashioned people.
Newspapers are more or less all the same: don’t expect to find anything different.
The only different thing I can think of is the self-proclaimed libertarian Enclave quarterly. It’s only available through subscription from editor Leonardo Facco. They have such big (and well known) names as Hans-Hermann Hoppe, Ralph Raico and Walter Block on their technical committee. At least Lega Norde supports secession, maybe they have some newspaper? Their economic views may still be quite keynesian/welfare-socialists like everyone else.
They used to support secession. Or at least that was their line. After 1996 they either kicked out all the secessionists or forced them to resign. Up to that point there were indeed some libertarians (like Carlo Lottieri) or people of libertarian sympathies in the movement. Right now the S. word is only being used in a few selected occasions to keep more voters from joining the non-voting brigade. Hence don’t bother with their newspaper.
