All publicity creates interest. Now if you create publicity by trying to discourage interest (like the FED hiring a lobbyist) then you are working against yourself.
Great interview. Lew Rockwell and Ron Paul settle down Alex Jones. Much better than guys like Webster Tarpley who ramble on with their socialist agendas and pro-Lincoln, pro-FDR, pro-labour, anti-free market nonsense.
It’s such a great thing to see Lew doing Napolitano’s show and maybe appearing again on Infowars.
@Harry, I’ll try to get the MP3 up by 8:00PM Eastern. I have to wait for the podcast to come out first because I didn’t record it live.
Eh, yes & no. It really all depends on how publicity is utilized, & sometimes that may not entirely be clear until one has the advantages of hindsight (as well as the knowledge / information problem).
The phenomena of Web 2.0 is a great example of publicity not inherently being useful or good, imo.
Web 1.0 was much less kind towards content of less substance (which tended to remain online in relative obscurity on geocities), than the easily networked liverjournals & facebooks that churn out anything from mainstream media regurgitation & spam to viral Top 25 Things About Me lists that people typically ignore despite getting notifications on, lol.
Ron Paul and Lew Rockwell are serious guests. Alex responds with a much more self-control and a lot less theatrics when someone else sets the bar high.
Or maybe it was because he is petitioning for funding, and he figured screaming at, and talking over his callers and guests wouldn’t set the right tone.
It is pretty funny how Lew can go on Alex’s show, and be much more radical than all of the wingnut crazies who come on.
