Has anyone else noticed the recent increase in films containing libertarian themes? I thought it was coincidence, but then I found out that Alongside Night was being adapted. Do you think this is an indication of any pro-liberty socio-political trends? Or am I just fooling myself.

The only one that I can think of off the top of my head is Pirate Radio…but I’m sure there are more…
The first one that comes to mind is Atlas Shrugged(I know that many people on this forum don’t take kindly to objectivists, but it is pretty anti-government). It’s present in the recent Robin Hood film with the strong anti-taxation themes. Even Pixar’s latest offering had something to say on involuntary governance(although I concede it was, in part, for comedy). And I already referenced Alongside Night. Like I said, I could be grasping at straws. But it just kind of bugs me.
I’d be really surprised if Atlas Shrugged actually gets made into a film…
